IT HAPPENED! Harvest began Thursday, Aug. 29th, with machine harvest of 5 acres of premium Sauvignon Blanc for several special wineries. It was a busy morning. Sorry Coyote Canyon Winery fans, we decided to pass on our portion this year. Hopefully, we have enough of 2022 vintage to get us through the year.

The Pellenc harvesters got a small test run, giving us a chance to make further tune-ups before harvesting any major acres.

We will be tasting a very special vertical of our H/H Estates Reserve Michael Andrews Spanish Red this Labor Day Weekend. It will include the 2014, 2015 and 2019 vintages. This will be served with our favorite CCW meatball recipe. I plan to be there on Saturday and would love to visit with you!

Justin finished bottling our H/H Estate Reserve wines on Friday. I had my class “1969”, 55-year reunion Friday evening at the winery and Saturday on the farm. It was a lot of fun to reminisce and visit with old friends.

We are continuing to prepare for our 30-year Anniversary Vineyard Celebration benefiting Heartlinks Hospice. Get your tickets early! This is the perfect time of year to be in the vineyard. Grape harvest will be in full swing. On the bus tour you will taste many kinds of grapes, listen to myself or Justin share the history of Coyote Canyon Vineyard and the Winery. Our success is because of the dedication and faithfulness of the entire vineyard team. Everyone from the management to fieldworkers are dedicated to growing the best quality grapes.  Special recognition will be given to those who have been with us for 25 or more years.  It is also a chance for relaxation and socializing with guests as you enjoy the delicious food by Big Weezy's BBQ with a glass of CCW wine and listen or dance to the music of Swing Shift. For convenience, ride the bus from Prosser’s Best Western Plus or the new Champaign party bus from Comfort Suites in Kennewick.

Hope to see you soon!
