2011 Roussanne

No Longer Available

Tasting Notes

Roussanne is one of the Rhone Valley’s white varietals and is a wonderful aromatic wine that displays a pale golden color. The wine was aged Sur-Lee to create more complexity and mouthfeel. The nose reveals ripe bananas, honeysuckle and hints of sun ripened peach, while the well rounded mouthfeel finishes with a great after taste of clover honey. 1.7% residual sugar is left in the wine which makes this wine a perfect wine for sipping or served with light salads or fruity desserts.

Winemaker's Notes

The Rousanne grapes were handpicked, pressed as whole clusters, and fermented in a stainless steel tank. The wine had extended contact with the lees which gave it more body and a rounder mouth feel. It was a very cool and slow fermentation but the payback is a very flavorful and aromatic wine.

Residual Sugar: 1.7 %
