2010 Tres Cruces

Tasting Notes

A deep garnet red color signifies this classic Rhone style blend of Syrah, Grenache and Mourvedre. A warm aroma of toasted coffee, hazelnut, cassis and distant black licorice flows over the glass when swirling the wine. Higher forms of alcohol coat the sides of the glass as the French would say; “ the wine is crying”. Smooth tannins and a silky lingering flavors of vanilla, cedar and ripe cherries finish this rich, medium bodied wine.

Winemaker's Notes

The grapes were picked at perfect ripeness and full of flavor then sorted and crushed / de-stemmed. Fermentation took place in small 1 ton bins and the wines were fermented to dryness. The wine was aged in small French Oak Barrels.
