2010 Robert Andrews Mourvedre Reserve

Tasting Notes

This wine is a tribute to Mike Andrews’ father. A big Rhone style blend with only the best of our barrels selected of Mourvedre, Syrah, Grenache, and Cinsault.  With a deep dark garnet color this wine displays aromas of white pepper, ripe black currant and blackberries. Supple tannins but a smooth silky texture create a full palate experience with a lingering finish of black currant and licorice. A big wine with great varietal expression. This wine will pair well with grilled marinated lamb, grilled red meats or Spicy Asian Cuisine

Winemaker's Notes

The grapes were hand picked at perfect ripeness and full of flavor than sorted and crushed. Fermentation took place in small 1 ton bins and the wines were fermented to dryness. The wine was aged for 17 months in small French oak barrels.
