2010 Grenache

$25.00 - Limited Quantities

Tasting notes

Grenache originates in Spain and has been highly successful in France in the Rhone Valley. Thriving now in Coyote Canyon Vineyard, the 2010 vintage showed such great varietal expression that we picked our best barrels and bottled it. Grenache with a cooler season, displays a deep garnet red. Lush aromas of bing cherries, dark licorice, and hints of thyme pleasantly greet you. The palate shows a medium body with firm tannins, followed by a smooth and lingering finish of ripe blackberries and cedar and cracked black pepper. Nicely balanced and styled. A great wine by itself but will do well with hearty cheeses, game, lamb and hearty beef stews.

  • Cellar for 5-8 years

Winemaker notes

2010 was definitely different than 2009 the summer was cooler and ended quite drastically. The fruit ripened nicely and the sugars were there.
