This wine is a tribute to Mike Andrew's father. A classic Rhone style blend of Syrah, Grenache, and Viognier. With a rich ruby color this wine displays aromas and flavors of licorice, white pepper, cassis and ripe blackberries. Supple tannins but a smooth texture create a full palate experience with a lingering finish of black currant and spice. This wine will pair well with marinated lamb or grilled red meats.
The grapes were handpicked at perfect ripeness and full of flavor then sorted and crushed. Fermentation took place in small 1 ton bins and the wines were fermented to dryness. The wine was aged for 15 months in small French Oak Barrels.
