Named after "Big John", he was the John J. Ascuagas' Golden Nugget sale topper bull in 1974.
A dark ruby color signifies this bold and complex Cabernet Sauvignon with aromas of black currants and toasted nuts while the palate reveals layers of dark chocolate, cassis, leather and vanilla that keep lingering. A great wine with red meats and mushroom sauces, or a rich dark chocolate dessert.
The grapes were handpicked at perfect ripeness and full of flavor than sorted and crushed. Fermentation took place in small 1 ton bins and the wines were fermented to dryness. The wine was aged for 15 months in small Hungarian Oak Barrels.
