2007 Big John Cab

No Longer Available

Tasting Notes

Named after Big John, the John J. Ascuagas’ Golden Nugget sale topper, 1974.  This complex Cabernet carries hints of melted chocolate, blackberries, leather, and French vanilla.  A great wine with red meats and mushroom sauces, or a rich dark chocolate dessert.

Winemaker’s Notes

The full flavored grapes that made this wine were handpicked at optimum ripeness, then sorted and crushed.  Fermented in one ton bins, this handcrafted wine aged for 15 months in French and American Oak Barrels.

75% French and 25% American Oak Barrels
