During his lifetime, Robert Andrews established a lasting legacy in the agricultural industry. A pioneer in the Horse Heaven Hills south of Prosser, Bob established the family farm which today encompasses 3,500 acres of wine grapes along with many other irrigated crops. Bob was active as a 4-H leader and supported the FFA organization. All of his children were involved in 4-H and FFA. He also served 16 years on the Prosser School Board.
The Andrews and Rowell Families and Washington FFA Foundation are excited to announce the creation of the Bob Andrews Memorial Scholarship Fund. The college scholarship fund will provide educational opportunities for students pursuing a degree in agriculture, future agriculture teachers and Washington FFA officers.
A total of 2 Prosser FFA scholarships, 5 agriculture education scholarships and 6 Washington FFA officer scholarships will be the cornerstone of the Bob Andrews Memorial Scholarship Fund. Scholarships will be $500.00 each. One hundred percent of the all money collected from the Bob Andrews Memorial Scholarship wine sales will go to the Washington FFA Foundation for scholarships.
Four were given to the following 2015-2016 Washington FFA officers:
Jason Wigen, Lacrosse
Monica Haugen, Pullman
Julia Spangler, Wenatchee
